National Volunteer Month

Updated: Feb 19, 2023

Did you know that April is National Volunteer Month?

Did you know that Piper’s Peak is run completely by volunteers?

In January of 1989, President George H. W. Bush gave his inaugural address, where he shared his vision of a “thousand points of light”, invited the nation to take action through service and has since inspired April as the time of year for all of us to observe the importance volunteerism has on our communities.*

To participate in the observance you can volunteer, sign-up to be contacted for volunteering, or just thank a volunteer. Offering time, talent and skill can benefit any organization.

If you are interested in volunteering with Piper’s Peak, send us your contact info along with any talents/skills you bring to the table. Opportunities exist in-person and virtual. We are looking to build our volunteer pool as we plan for events into the future.
